At a mates house the other day and he had two 14 x 7 inch HTGK steel rims with tyres. He said there old skool rims . It was a bit dark but I think they had a red ring on the tyres. Anyway $50.00 for the two. I rang him tonight a said I will take them. Had a look on google and noticed someone had two for sale in Perth for $450.00. But there are also other people selling 14 inch HTGK for $60.00 each. Trying to work out why Perth mate had $450.00.  Ray

Dreamer. The factory HT HG 5” rims are getting snapped up these days. The 6” Monaro items more so. There weren’t any 7” from factory these would’ve been made up by someone like Adelaide Wheel and Rim.

You can still buy the 5” on gumtree for $20 to $40. Let’s say $100 to get the original centre put in a 7” hoop. So $280 would be top dollar. Then add value of the rubber.

There was a factory option red wall radial I believe. The red wall was a 1/4” band. I guess an original pair of these would be worth money but not serioousable.

Wrecker in brisbane here used to sell brand new hk/t/g wheels in 14”. Think they were made by ROH. My UC has a set on it which had new 7” rims fitted to the centres on a 120 backspace.

Those are HK. Use the early wheelnuts. The taper changed from 85 to 62.5 degrees at HT and HB Torana when GMH outsourced production to Rubery Owens Holdings in Adelaide. If you use the Torana nuts they will bottom on the hub face and the wheels will work loose, enlarging the holes.

The HK rims also have a deeper backspace and may foul front calipers or suspension.
