i got a quote from tce for a 8 inch pro street stall convertor 3500 rpm turbo holden red 6 $1450 plus gst.does this price sounds right?i thought may be $1000 seems a bit pricey.

That’s about what my converter from Dominator cost a couple of years ago.
It was a 4000 stall small diameter converter for a T400 behind a BBC.

I paid over 1K for my 308 TCE 8" 5000 suit Trimatic maybe 15ish years ago.

 

You could get a quote from SDE Converters, designed by Phil Soderstrom, so should be good, and Peter is supposed to be fussy.

In the right ballpark when I was quoted a few months ago with one free send it back/adjustment.

 

Just make sure find someone good to do it as not many convertor shops have a good rep.
