Looking to find (if possible) engines JP292533 and JP105359.

The owners of the XU1's these engines belong to are hoping they may be able to one day make their cars complete again.

Please PM me if you have any info on the whereabouts of either of these JP's.

I wish there was some kind of service available through the various registration authorities to "Find my old..."

It wouldn't have to give out any personal info, just run your search and leave a note that could be sent to the last known owner, the owner could then choose whether to respond or not?

And you would be silly not to post a reward for 'any information leading to' original engines and such, seeing as it would add considerable value yo your car.

If I found out I had someone's original engine sitting in the shed I'd happily help them out.

Would be good to start a register of lost and found engines..I'm would reckon there would be a few engines laying under benches across the country. I'm am sure the value of a lost motor that would be on the register would command a higher price. Hope you get some responses Dave.

What a great idea!!!

Maybe we should make a register for all torana engines, 2600s, CF, 3100x, CK, JP, HR, HT.

Something in the way of a register, on a fixed sticky post.

Gt guys run registers to find engines why don't us torana guys have a register.

Whats to hide?

The trouble with that is...

"Matthew from Werribee says he has HZ12345 sitting under his bench"

How many people do you reckon would try to claim it? How would you prove they owned (or still owned) the car it belonged to?

The person seeking the car / engine / whatever has nothing to lose posting the numbers, but I personally wouldn't like to list every engine number I own on a public forum, even the non-original engines in currently registered cars, just on the remote chance someone will see their OEM gear.

Besides that, 95% of cars that gave their engines over the years would be gone forever by now.

If the Ford guys can make a register work then surely we can too.

I think it should be simply a register of Holden engines that vehicle owners are looking for, not what you may have sitting in the corner of your shed or under your work bench etc.
