This pic is taken down looking into the boot area from the rear.

 

I didn't measure the orientation of the bumper bracket before I cut it all out?

 

In this pic, I have lined it up with the edge of the fuel tank recess but I think it should be moved approx. 5mm left?

Ok Rob, the brace panel in my Brisbane LJ is in line with the edge of the tank recess, as you have it sitting in your pic.

The following pic is of an Adelaide 72 LJ and as you can see it appears to be about 5mm from the edge.

Mine is Brisbane so on the edge it will be.
