It mounts to the seat rails... Need to have a look at my seats in the LX and see if it can be done.

To be brutally honest.
A fire extinguisher of that size is an absolute waste of space, weight, and effort to fit.
It will only put out a very small fire, and due to the nature of materials in cars, the fire will likely reignite anyway.
A dry powder extinguisher doesnt cool anything down. A CO2 extinguisher would be better for a number of reasons.
Cleaning up after is just one. But it will also cool the combustibles.
They are handy at that size if, and only if, there is more fire fighting resources quickly available, such as at a race track that is fully manned with flaggies and fire marshalls.
A bottle of coke would do a better job in most instances.

I'm more interested in the bracket itself and if anyone has fitted it to their Torana seat/seat-rails.
I'd be putting a 2kg extingusiher on that bracket on the front passenger seat and probably another one in the boot, which should be enough.
Will look into a CO2 extinguisher though.

CO2 or AFFF are the best bets.
And with 9kg all up you might, just might be safe.
The only reason I am saying this, is that I honestly believe its a waste of money.
A friend of mine driving a dangerous goods vehicle came across a crash.
As he pulled up, it caught on fire.
He had 2 9kg extinguishers.
He told me he thought he was prepared, but never felt so helpless in his life.
Sadly, 4 people perished in that fire.
I have over 25 years of firefighting behind me.
10 years as a training officer.

The main role is to slow it down to allow time for people to get out.
It is mandatory for us to run min 2kgs in CAMS events but even then i run 2x 2kgs.
Have heard of 4kg fire bombs not even touching a car fire at some events.
