Found a pair of HX One tonner stubs today, I noticed they both have DX crudely stamped in the back of them......Anyone know what this stamp means?

These stubs also have part numbers 9943696 & 9943695 cast in them, I believe these part numbers are the same as A9X stubs?

Those are the correct part numbers for A9X and HX one tonner (post-alloy calipers) stub axles.
I've heard of HX tonner stubs having "HD" stamped (not cast) into them, which I assumed meant "Heavy Duty".
So "DX" may be some variation of that, maybe "D" is for heavy duty and "X" for HX, or LX, or A9X, but that's only a guess?

Just had another thought... the "H" is more likely to indicate "Heat Treated", which the normal stub axles aren't?
EDIT: Never mind, I forgot you don't have the "H"

The A9X ones do have heat treatment

The heat treatment is clearly visible on the ones I have.
