Can anyone tell me original length of inner shaft
Having trouble reinstalling

Mighta broken the nylon pins.

Hi Ron
Was reinstalling column and was having trouble fitting to bottom coupling also noticed
That is to short at the wheel end .
Is there a fix for this one or do I need to get another

Hi Derek.  Have a read of my thread "Removing Lower Bearings from Steering Column".  Sorry I can't paste it.  Post #26 has some info on collapsing the shaft.  No real dramas from what I have researched/done just another sub project or two to get it back right.  BTW, in my case the inner and outer shafts were extremely tight and you wouldn't have thought they had moved.  First thing I would do is measure the shaft and see if it's shorter than 910mm and that will give you an indication of whether or not it has collapsed.  Cheers Ron

Hi Ron
Thank you for your help shaft was only about 850 I managed to. Lengthin it to 910
With not much trouble and now ready to Install next weekend
