I was browsing Australian Muscle Cars and saw this one.

In the description it says below

 

"Concours restoration using a replacement body shell with the original compliance plates and the paint and trim combo."

 

Is that legal? 

 

Wouldn't the body number be different and not match the plates making it a fake??
