My new bottom end will be using Crow cams straight cuts. Not for any particular reason other than I picked them up for a good price and they look like good gear.

Dicrest engineering in Harcourt Vic use to make them.

http://www.diecrest..../products.shtml

I don’t see any on their site but might be worth a call.

I bought a set from many many years ago.

Lol I got a funny look from them when I asked “ can you make them quiet?”

As at the time I had 2 sets of JP helical gears that tried to walk the cam out of the motor so was gunna try straight cuts but didn’t want to noise.

The boss said to take 1mm off the cam gear OD.

I did this & they were certainly still noticeable but maybe not as noisey their standard but who knows.
