Hey guys, so I’m in the process of my second rebuild of my SLR and looking at replacing the carpet again. I did replace the carpet supplied from Knox back in 2011 during the first jobbie but had a few issues as I fitted it without any help and it has a few pulls and creases, especially where the front seat belts bolt in on the tunnel.

So my question, what is the best fitting carpet now days and who supplies it? Is Knox still the go as they have Classic loop, plush or loop. ‘Classic Loop’ being the closest to original to look apparently.

Any advice and tips are appreciated.

Agree Knox
the secret is to lay it in the car for a few days in the sun if possible
and a soldering iron is your friend when installing carpet

Yeah no worries, I didn’t do the sun thing last time but I did the soldering iron. I don’t know how people do it without one to be honest.
I suppose I should keep to the classic loop as well to keep with the rest of the factory look, although I’m thinking the plush might look better.
I thought another company may have jumped on the carpet bandwagon by now, cheers guys

Did you use the classic loop from Knox Brad? I can’t remember, your rebuild thread is as old as my original one I think. Lol

Hmmm. I don’t recall. I’ll try and find the receipt.
