Does anyone know the tension settings for h beam conrods for a Holden 6 precision brand.the machine shop said they are a different tension to factory conrods

Why don't you just ask precision themselves ?

Precision said 58foot pounds is the stretch pressure they said the pressure is 50 foot pounds I wish they would make up there mind

Generally the tension is determined by the diameter of the bolt , i.e the holden blue  go to 35 ft/lb whereas the reds are 25ft/lb from memory?

If the bolts are bigger than the holden blue then they will need a bit more but 58 sounds like a fair bit getting close to some head bolt tensions.

It's a pity they can't give a definite tension without going into stretch pressures and all that coz all you need to know is what tension to tighten the  nut to.

They did get back to me and said the tension is 50 foot pounds
