Instead of reinventing the wheel i'm just wondering what others are / have used on there set ups

I'm running a 355 with VN heads

Torque power dual plane hi rise (air gap) manifold

Quickfuel carb

Rectangular hole in bonnet cut to A9X specs with std scoop

Wondering what fits and what others have found to be the best set up

Cheers

I presume that you mean an "air cleaner assembly" ? If so, we also assume that you would be going chrome ect, why not use a K&n extreme top style, you should be able to run, say a 9" × 4" under the scoop, if memory serves me correctly. Gary.

I have a round hole that fits the filter, but I made some mounts that double as the carb(/throttle body) nuts and provide a more secure surface for custom made air cleaner base/surround:

So it screws to these solid mounts rather than relying on the air filter stud:

Which only has to hold the filter:

The seal is just a length of old Commodore boot seal.
