Door Striker

Hi guys I was aligning my doors on my LH and the rear passengers striker retaining clip fell into the wheel well any ideas how to retrieve or how to fit a new one thanks.

Sorry Peter I can't help you but am wondering, shouldn't that nut sit in some form of cradle to make it captive, but with some adjustability, otherwise how do you change strikers? Surely the gurus can advise. Cheers Ron

Magnets will just stick to the inner body yep I need a guru on this one, not sure how people change over strikers 😩

Fair enough , I used electric magnets at times. all good I know your pain on dropping shit.

Yes it can move around a little but is (supposed to be) held by metal tabs inside the panel. It (should) sit there by itself, this also holds it rotationally so you can tighten the striker. So to fix it properly you might need to cut something open anyway :-(

edit: sorry bad advice removed, you can only get to the vent area via the boot

I have to get the rear passenger floor pans replaced so The best way is to cut an access retrieve it and re attach 😀
