Nothing like fresh sandblasted panels.
Painted in kbs and then hit with etch primer to make sure the paint sticks.

Just wondering if anyone has ever deleted the body line on the lower part of the rear qrt panel at all. The one that runs from just above the centre line of the rear bar to the rear wheel arch?

I reckon that only train spotters would notice it was gone.

Okay, I have to ask... What on earth does that big green plastic looking thing beside the hoist do?

Looks like it'd be fun to slide down if you were a young fella like your grandson.

So many mods done and more to go yet.
For anyone who knows torana dimensions will see how much I've had to do to get this to fit.

Well just gave the plenum a quick rub with 500grit and wipe down and sealed it with gmh sattern black.
Now to fix the pin holes in the top piece and refit it so I can spray the engine bay with 2k hi build for its final rub down by hand.

I know it's not 100% perfect but it's more than good enough for where it is and what it does.

Back on the car now. Just have 1 small weld to finish and then clean it up for paint.
Never again will I do this job. It was a good idea at the start now I just can't wait for it to be over.
At least I'm just about at the paint prep stage now.

Im not totally opposed to a IRS swap. But these days its a bit scary to cut into them.

No iRS here mate. They are for the front wheels. Rear end is still a live axle BW78 series.

I just ment CV shafts in general.

Any reason you didnt put a IRS setup in? Or just one less thing that needed to be engineered?
