Bit of a story, about 18 months ago I got a call from a mate attending the Phillip Island historic who said the one of the blokes travelling with him had a noise in the diff or axle bearing. This was Sat. morning.

I wizzed down to my local retailer and bought 2 x axle bearing kits incase I would get another call and anyway I would need them for my build.

Nothing transpired so they sat on the shelf for near 18 months.

A few weeks ago I assembled them onto the axles then a week ago fitted them to the diff housing...……..all good so far? :spoton:

Then I found it very hard to rotate the axles?

What I found was the seal was trying to ride up the boss for the bearing rather than sealing on it's own part of the shaft.

No name and shame here, the supplier sorted the problem, no cost to me, even after 18months and no receipt.

Buyer beware.
