20 degrees after a racing pass doesn’t actually sound like much. What actual temps are you seeing?

75'c drive down the road, around 85'c -90'c in bad traffic, sensor is in the back of a cast alloy pan. I have seen a video where a trans builder in America wont use single seal input shafts, as he reckons it make then run hotter, not sure if it just a story, as BTE and huges make the single seal shafts,

i just don't want to burn another box ,

it has 7 clutches in high, tci manual valve body with brake, roller bearing for thrust at back of pump, large cast pan,5k convertor

If you are looking at temperatures you want the sensor in the fluid line where it exits the box and heads towards the cooler. This is where it is hottest as it exits the converter. Can be 25deg or more hotter than the pan oil. On my A750F in my Hilux I have seen 75deg pan and 100deg as it exits the converter.
