Hey guys I'm just throwing the under dash loom in my LX hatchback, as with all projects we label them so long ago everything fades out and some of the tags come off the wiring..

I have the main plug that goes into the back of the dash in this picture I have a random wire that looks like it doesn't go anywhere it is this one that I am holding...

I thought that it went on the brown spade terminal on the back of the cluster but I have one further down the loom that I have labelled as brown on dash...
Can anybody tell me where this random female spade terminal May connect is there a possibility it is the cigarette lighter or something???

Thanks again guys appreciate it

At the risk of sounding like an idiot what end of the tacho wire and where does it plug into... Can anyone confirm that it's definitely the tacho wire?

It plugs onto the back of your tacho on your cluster. Have you got the LH Wiring Diagram that Ive uploaded a million times? Its the best you'll be able to get. And then nut the remainder out.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if it's an SL cluster it won't have a techo? Cheers Ron

Hi hanra, I originally thought it plugged into the back of the cluster as well but I have another wire which is definitely Brown which I have labelled to the rear of the cluster and this is why I am wondering where this why am I go.... This is what's confusing me

Could it be the heater switch to fuse panel?

Thanks for your help guys once I put the battery in I will test both wise and C what they are... I have a feeling the base power was and one is for the back of the dash and one will possibly be as suggested for the cigarette lighter possibly you know what the colours of the wise look like these days they have 22 rated and orange does look like Brown & Brown looks like a faded black...

Voice to text deteriorated not 22 rated

You aren't wrong about that, but the looms don't change between the models.

You can install an 'SL/R' cluster straight into an 'S' model without adding any wires I'm quite sure.

hey hanra thanks for the diagram that is the clearest one that you have uploaded that i could find i had referred to it before asking the question in the first place but could not read or understand the diagram .. so thanks for the fresh one and also the pic you just supplied as that is the exact position of the one in the harness that i have..

do you have a pic of just a little further down the harness towards the pass side and know what the similar looking wire is?

wiring really does my head in if i am being honest so thank you guys for all the help so far..

There is only one brown wire at the back of the cluster.  It's for the Tacho.

From memory the only wires going down that end of that part of the loom

Passenger door interior light - heater fan - glove box - cig lighter - radio

There may be wiring for a rear demister switch or elec aerial still in your loom?

If it is the tacho wire the other end will be Neg on the coil
