3371 Big HP!

I swear it was trying to climb off the hubs.. good thing no rear tyres on it so not likely to spear into my seats!

Drag Week Toyota made a lazy 1271hp out of his Barra power.

Now I haven’t run across the rusty FB again but I did find this on the oval.

Quite a cool car.

Who says club plates aren’t worth the effort?

Not this guy.

So I did find the rusty FB again.

The body is proper rusty.

Nice blown SBC motivation.

The economy can’t be too rooted. Heaps of new car builds and heaps of big dollar forced induction motors.

Not identical when side by side but very close!

One of the regulars has changed teams.

Now available on Uber. Haven’t had a chance to check his rating yet.

So we survived Canberra’s hottest ever day today, 43.6 degrees.

Didnt seem to change much of the action.

Few more boiling radiators and lots of fires on the burnout pad. The latter is hardly an unusual event here anyway.

Of all the cars here, this was my favourite.

Beautiful Chevelle with LSA power.

The smoke rolled back in tonight. Visibility probably 200 m at best. Sure wouldn’t want to be an asthmatic or otherwise respiratory impaired. Driving home in the dark very hairy.

Airbourne put on a ripper concert tonight! If you ever get the chance, go and see them. Their live show is outstanding.

Back to civilisation today. Well assuming the Hume isn’t still closed.

So many more pics of crazy cars and stuff. Might try to put more up later on but thought I should leave you with this:

The coast near Canberra has suffered greatly as have many other parts of the country. People sheltering on beaches in fear of their lives at Malua bay and nearby. If you can do anything to support those who have been displaced or those in the fire services who are already exhausted after a 3 month fire season with no end in sight, please do so.

And pray for big rain.

For those of us sitting at home unaffected - man those photos are quite eerie. The exact opposite of what an Aussie Summer is normally about. I hope for rain and lots of it.

yep,....... we are scheduled to have the roof taken off our house tomorrow, for 2-3 days or so, to have that thick blanket/foil installed under the Colourbond...but I'd rather see rain. The roof can wait.

+ our youngest son is an Army Reservist and is on the ground somewhere in NSW / Vic. as we speak..so the sooner those fires go out, the better.

Nothing to do with Summernats though. We get our cars out, rip a few skids and then chuck shit at the cops every other weekend. Retards.

Very nice nova with ex NASCAR small block.

Did a ripper burnout yesterday. Sounded fantastic!

attachicon.gif018D42BB-3939-4DBF-8652-830DA6FCBCD0.jpeg

Now there is so much talk on the forum now about 4 wheel drive truck rubbish I feel obliged to contribute.

Two neat solutions provided in one picture.

You just need a Blown Chev, a little time and mechanical ability....

attachicon.gif8BCC9F24-7BBA-44D5-8070-D4AD58BCB1D2.jpeg

And one of nicest blokes you will ever meet...
