This OEM pump was removed from a stock 304, anyone know what the numbers & letters on the gears mean?

I have never noticed them before. Maybe tooling I.D.? Clearances are pretty tight, so maybe if a new milling bit was used in a pump housing they might go to a slightly larger gear??????
