Hi guys,I am sure this has been gone over before but I can't find a clear answer. Is there a direct bolt on master cylinder for front and back disc brakes on a LX v8 hatch with a double diaphragm or do I have to get a disk front and drum rear M/C and remove the valve in the rear line of M/C.Thank you in advance DALE

Hi Dale.  When I had my upgrade done through Hoppers Stoppers from memory I got a WB Statesman Booster and a Commodore? master cylinder with an internal proportioning valve.  I can check the invoice if you like to be more accurate.

Cheers Ron

You can use your original and remove the valve in the rear circuit

Or... Depending on the way the ports are around on your master... you can buy the HZ Statesman one which was 4w disc ... but its just the same thing with the valve out

If your car is early and has the ports the other way round... just use original or buy new disc/drum if req and remove valve

Might need to play with the prop too though

Or as mentioned... upgrade to diagonal mount master

Can mod front can of booster( or replace with correct one if you have one) and modify pushrod shorter (to master... not pedal end)

Or... use existing booster... buy this https://www.rodshop....er-adaptor.html

Then remove prop valve completely off inner guard and repipe car to suit VT master

Hi Neil. I can't use the one I have as I damaged it trying to get the olive out as it was stuck in solid and didn't want to move.I am not sure of line location on the HZ STATESMAN m/c.Mine is rear closest to the booster. My rear line thread is larger than the front also. Will the stato m/c be a straight swap?Thank you for your help and time.DALE

Just screw a self tapper into it and reef it out. Is easy.
