I’ve got a broken passenger seat mounting bracket. Is manufacturing a new one the only option, or can they be purchased somewhere?

Cheers,
CT

Hi Chris. Not cheap but you could buy a whole seat, just make sure the runner comes with it.  Plus side is you have a spare seat.  There is one on ebay now.  Cheers Ron

Cheers Ron, that's a good backup option. It would cost a bit in freight to get it to Perth, but I'd pay if that was the only option. I've got a pair of VE Maloo seats, so this might be the prod I need to put them in.

Should be pretty darn easy to find someone selling some standard Torana seat rails. I used to have a pile of them, but I sold off most of my spares a few years ago.
Otherwise, weld 'er up.

Don't put fat, modern Commodore seats into a Torana, yuck!

Cheers for the advice!

I’ve got both coming. I tracked down a set of runners, so I can go back to the originals, but I’ve got runners coming to test the Maloo seats first. I haven’t got a design cell in my body, but I don’t reckon the Maloo seats look too bad when I sat them in position (they’d need to lose the headrest), and they’re way more comfy than the originals. I would have appreciated them on the last road trip I did (600km each way)

^^Will make Heath happy too as they aren’t Commodore seats! I’m using V2 CV8 seats in my HK GTS for the same reason - the originals are about as comfortable as a park bench.
