I was told 5/16 UNC but seemed too small, I thought would be 3/8 UNC, not really sure.

Check to see if boot striker bolts are 5/16

They're either 5/16" or 1/4" maz, i just did some the other day & they're packaged, i can get them out & measure if no one else does.
