Hi All, Im after some advice for replacing the roof skin on my LH. I am about to start to install the new skin. I have scrapped all the coating that was on it and will take back to bare metal and paint with a 2k primer. Do I need to do any more to the underside of the skin and do I need to apply some sort of sealant between the skin and the middle channels that run left to right? Thanks.

Why not paint the underside and brace rails with 2k while it is off the car. seam sealer on the rails when you fit the thing.

Having said that, I’ve noticed that roof skins in the factory often had anti-drum sheeting applied before they were sat on the brace rails.
