Hey Guys and Gals,

Went to go take my LX (sedan) for a drive yesterday but ran into an issue.

When I unlocked the front driver door, I couldn't open the door (as if it was still locked) even though I had unlocked it with the key.

Went around to the passenger door and unlocked it and opened it fine...so hopped over the centre console into the driver's seat to open the driver's door from the inside, which worked fine.

Tested opening and closing from inside and out side, and the door opens fine

However, now the door lock knob (inside) is loose...I can pull it all the way up (and out) and it won't hold in place, so just falls and sits on the top of the door. I can also spin it around freely.

Before I go pulling the door card off, can any give offer some advice on what the issue may be and possibly how to fix it?

Cheers

Yeah, sounds like the rod has disconnected itself from the lock mechanisim

My passenger side does the same. If you pull off the door card and behind the handle you will see a flat plate. the connecting rod will be swinging in the breeze and just needs to be relocated into the small divet in said flat plate.

I cant get a photo this week to show you.

Cheers
