Hi all.  As far as I can ascertain it doesn't matter which way around the lines are run in and out of the heater core.  I understand I need to get the lines right form the motor to the shut off valve etc but want to double check on the internal side.  Also is there a preference.  I saw someone suggesting running inward line to the top and out through bottom as a preference?  FWIW here is a pic of the heater core outlets.  It's an Old Air system.  Cheers Ron.

If you run the inward hose to the lower fitting, it will self bleed. Valve on the inward hose also.

Convection will also aid flow if you plumb inlet to the bottom.
