Theoretical question but just say i have a lj gtr without original motor it will be worth whatever ,but how much more would it be worth with the original motor

I'm thinking probably $10,000 more with the original "engine" assuming that it's all complete & correct sump to air cleaner. Gary.

You need to look at the pricing of current cars with and without the original engines. 20-25k+++ for GTR and 30k+++ for an XU1.

Just fake one up like so many others have...

 

One of the many reasons I prefer modified cars. They not only go harder, but what you see is what you get. No charlatans flogging fakies.

Some cars pull good money even with the wrong engines

Hi Rodney,

Guess it will all depend on how original you’ve kept the car.. if 90% of its still original it will be worth having the original motor keeping it matching number car.

LJ GTR can’t match motor but drop a 308 engineered bloody good coin

I agree. No point spending big resto $ if you don’t have the engine. Just go nuts on an XU1 replica engine using whatever 202 you like or put a 308 or SBC in.
