Any idea how many are out there guys? Guy we know has one, he's had it since the 80s. It's a 77.

It is a standard colour from around 1975, and is far more common across the board than some of the metallics. I did a count of all my recorded Sandmans a while back and whilst it was not as common as yellows, reds and blues it was far more common than you'd think. From memory somewhere between the 7th and 9th most common colour.

Hanra has been chasing them up for a while now. I think he has found way more than I thought were made.

Yeah plenty of LX’s. Still only a handful of LH’s.

Sounds like Sandmans. A few HQ and HJ in black but heaps from late HJ onwards when black became readily available rather than CTV order. I suspect in the later cars GMH built them which explains why there are more. Whereas the earlier cars are retail or dealer order.

Nice car Col, the tuxedo really suits the flared LX.

Thanks Mav, ..It's all a bit blurred these days, ...and who took much notice back in the day.,  but from memory that car had a drama with the tags?

I think it was that the  8VD69,  colour and trim tag,  VIN type tag were all good, but the ADR tag said "coupe".

I remember looking up the colour code ( in a book)  and seeing that it was Tuxedo.
