Just wondering if anyone else is running a YT9904L and has run into an issue with the counter bore depth on the pressure plate bolt holes. My bolts bottom out on the hole before they tighten the plate.. the counter bore on the flywheel is only 3.5mm and the shank on the bolt is like 9mm long.

Cheers

Will check the counter bore depth on an OEM red 6 flywheel for you a little later this evening.

Sorry I should have mentioned that the standard one has a counter bore depth of somewhere around 9mm. Why would yt change this? Or am I supposed to use different bolts?

Wouldn't be surprised if they expect you to use aftermarket ARP bolts or something like that. The V8 flywheels are basically just Chevy ones with Holden offset bolt pattern, when you compare weights the lightweight one is slightly heavier than standard as all the comparisons are for different engines, I'd say they've just taken parts off the shelf to suit rather than being ground-up made for the application.

You could try auto fly wheel bolts as they are about 3-5 mm shorter than manual ones ?

So as it turns out, I have discovered an error in the flywheel machining and they will be changing them from now on. No worries folks! thanks for the input!

Cool mate. Are they going to swap or fix yours?
