OMG I feel your pain - we spent nearly 12 months looking for an opel input shaft seal!  We had a failed attempt through a local parts guy (in NZ), who mucked up some payments to a German company, so we gave up on that route (he was at a stalemate with them, but we lost no money luckily).

We finally purchased it from a Dutch website that we had to use google to translate and relied mainly on the picture of it!  Ended up only costing about NZD$60 incl shipping and it made it here!!!  Should have brought heaps more to sell around NZ and Aussie!  We did find some on a couple of other sites (maybe ones suggested above) but they didn't have paypal, was just direct transfer, so didn't want to take the risk!

Are you still having issues installing it?  I think ours has gone in fine and no further leaks (well not from that seal anyway).  The outside flange looks slightly different.  The pack also came with another seal (front maybe) but that was too small!  The 4-speed opel was common in the Opel Kadetts - that is what lead us to searching overseas.  We need to do some more work on the gearbox too (gear linkages I believe), but hoping those parts are more generic!

I have looked at 1000's of seals online, and have probably seen one for every other car in the world (and they all look really similar), this one was just so different!  No bearing/seal people locally could help.

Private message me if you like - we can exchange notes!  lol

Good to hear you finally got it sorted Aimee.

Hi Aimee,I tried all the bearing shops ,here and interstate with no luck , in the end I had to go with one online unfortunately it wasn’t cheap, but you have to do what you have to do.Hopefully won’t need replacing for a very long time .
I put together a reasonably good M21 Opel I think with spares from two other boxes I had , I hope it’s ok , we’ll see when I drive it.
Glad you got a seal it’s a lot of running around just for one seal that probably cost around $2 originally. Cheers Paul.

Yes, a lot of hassle for one seal! But hopefully done for another 50 years lol. Now onto the linkages. Have you brought them at all?
