Hi Members,

I've got a gearbox that's been given to me, which I was told was from a Holden.

No doubt some members will have enough knowledge to help identify it.

A few pictures are attached. Note that they were taken in low light conditions and there's a bit of camera shake in a couple of them.

Thanks.

It might be of Isuzu origin, like a Rodeo etc.

Thanks guys, that helps. Not GMH then by the look of it.

Dattoman, I did a quick search on Nissan 71 series gearboxes and turned up this:

Am I looking in the right area?

Certainly never been fitted to a holden before

Unless its missing an adaptor plate from bellhousing to block

Also missing shifter and plate... so not much use to anyone except for parts

Looks like a 71B front section and a 71C rear section.

dattoman - thanks for the link.

rexy - yeah, it got a bit of rain on it just recently but had been under cover before then. We'd been taking it apart to assess its condition but stopped, so it's a bit of an unknown. (And yeah, the previous owner might have known it was rooted, or maybe they just wanted it gone.)
