Hi Guys, I have noticed my trans tunnel slopes down on the drivers side (ie: lower than the passanger side) just in front of where the manual shifter hole is. The tunnel was butchered by some monkey with a hammer and tin snips at some point, both reinforcing plate and tunnel, but i beat the reinforcing panel back to shape (at least I thought I did) and put in a replacement tunnel section. Everything seemed to fit well, with exception of the height difference. I only had surrounding, unmolested tunnel for reference, so every chance I've got it wrong, but though i'd better check before adjusting it.

Any help is good help fellas.

Cheers,

Mat

Here a couple pics. It's a little hard to see in photos, but definitely slopes down towards drivers side.Attached File  20200807_095202.jpg   112.83K   3 downloads

Looks a bit like the welds might have pulled it?

Yeah, possibly. I did go very slowly with the welds and kept the temps down, but if it's ment to be flat across there I'll try planishing them and see if it comes back up. Otherwise it's a pretty easy fix, I just wanted to confirm what I thought was right before I fixed something that wasn't broken.

Thanks for the help, it's always appreciated

Cheers,
Mat

A couple of the pics you are after, but not the answer you are hoping for I'm afraid.

Thanks guys, very helpful. I got it sorted and all nice and flat now, just need to recut the shifter hole properly.

I really appreciate the effort for the replays, thanks again
