Hi guys has been many years since I have played with a Holden red 6 cyl.

Just given my HZ 202 a freshen up and would like to know if I need to prime

the oil pump as you would on a V8 before I fire it up again?

put vasolene in the oil pump it will build up oil pressure on a new motor

My mechanic told me use grease, but I seem to recall hearing on hear not to do this.

Vaseline will dissolve in the oil grease won't.

Just fill it with oil.

I use Vasoline in the V8's so
that's what l will do here.
