So what is it that you'll be doing, that you might need advice on? lol.
Not much of a build thread if it just goes somewhere else to get fixed up.
What's the car going to be?

Plus have been there and done that, they got my order wrong. Not used to the fumes. Well looks like a solid foundation. I don't think you need advise, your going to do it the way you want. Think your after comments. Rainman

Watch out for the sharks out there Greg. For some reason they like to charge more because its a torana . Then justify there prices with (your car is worth heaps). I wish you all the luck in the world. Rainman

I'm not going to butcher the guards just keep it to SL specs the only change will be wheels and a 5.0 instead of the 4.2 ,all numbers match on this car .l will just keep the 4.2 in the shed if l ever sell it
Sensible man! Go to town on bolt on bits, but leave the body as stock as you can. What box are you planning on running?

Something to consider when you buy your 5.0.
I'd go TH350 and use a TH350 standard GMH shifter (not the cable version) in the standard console.
Order either a 90degree speedo cable adapter at the box or order a longer than std speedo cable.
Inspection covers, cross members, cable kick down brackets are all easily available.

I’m using a TH350C in my HK for the lockup converter, but a 4L60/4L60E may fit a Torana? These are good for lockup and overdrive and if you get an E from a VS or VT or similar you can run it with a trans ECU so have fully adjustable shift points. I would have don this with the HK but don’t fit.
