Yes they look a bit daggy on the back but most standard cars do , sort of like Venetian blinds on Monaros . Daggy yet cool.

They're worth a bit of coin by the way. Nothing crazy but you'll find a buyer if you don't want it.

A friend of mine had one that I sold for him a few months ago.

This W55 to looks like Holden V8 popped up today. Can’t see what type of clutch fork though. Suits a Holden so you’d still need to make up a Torana crossmember and tailshaft

https://www.gumtree....chev/1257122460

Would be a bit stronger than Aussie 4spd but may not suit you ratio wise.

Talk to auto trans shop is your best bet. They can be manualised, just not sure you’d want it.

Drove one 30 years ago in a road car but expect things have changed. It was good at breaking axles and banging everything to bits. Going from 1st to reverse through a ratchet shifter was a PITA when reverse parking with fat wheels and heavy steering. A modified shift pattern (321NRP) would have made that a little easier.

Watch out for the sharks out there Greg. For some reason they like to charge more because its a torana . Then justify there prices with (your car is worth heaps). I wish you all the luck in the world. Rainman

It's like saying wedding when you say Torana the price doubles

Doors that good were near $400-$500 each back in the mid 80's, when you could buy whole driving, registered hatchbacks for $2500-$3000 or A9X hatchbacks for $10k-15k.
