does the trimatic have to come out to put in a full manual valve body?is it straight forward or is it a specilized job from a automatic transmisson shop,

Some kits can be done without removing the box from the car, if you chose to use a higher pressure spring in the pump the box will have to be removed.
You may also have to remove the rear extension housing & the rings from the governor hub depending on kit instructions.
