I think these boxes have been discussed before.

Who in their right mind would spend that money on an aussie 4 speed.

Yes, you’d get a new Muncie or T10 for that. But even a good used one would be fine for a 6cyl, plus GMH made a lot of 6cyl bellhousings to suit as Saginaw was the standard 4spd on HK-HG commercials.
