Good evening all

    About to start putting my 186 into the lh which has the 4 cyl K frame 

  Does anyone do an adaptor Mounts for these ?

Opel or starfire 4 cyl ?

If its starfire... the 6 bolts straight in

No it was an opel

Adapter ? No.

Cut the mounts off & weld on the 6/V8 mount.

Someone makes the weld on brackets but I haven't seen them on Ebay for a while so can't remember who.

Yeah I've seen the weld on brackets

 

Rodshop used to do bolt ons to suit V8... which should technically also suit 6

Might pay to give them a call

Just buy another crossmember and change it or cut the mounts off and weld on. Example:

The adapters aren't ideal and I'm not sure anyone supplies them any more (think it was either Rare Spares or CRS), would be best to change them properly/permanently as above. If you do go with the adapters, they probably need a small slot machined in them to allow clearance for the ear of the mount itself otherwise it won't sit down flat.

 

This is the only photo I can find, you can't see the area to be slotted from this angle but you can see how low the protruding piece is and the mount needs to sit flat on top of this.

Hi

      I got the weld on mounts from Redwood on target fabrication in Redwood Pk Adelaide  04098 45800. There are some photos of my conversion here http://www.gmh-toran...oject-begins/   They supplyed the crossmember for my T400 as well.

      

      Easy job if you are fair with a good mig
