Hi all, has anyone used the aveska replacement beaver panel? I’m looking at doing mine the old one is dented badly and has had some patch panels welded in too. I notice that rare spares is only a rolled section without the lower tabs so was wondering if it’s worth going with the aveska one. Thoughts and comments plz. Cheers.

Had to go searching for the link so I'll save anyone else the trouble...

You say the RSP item is only a rolled panel, but these Aveska panels don't look any better...

Definitely only a rust repair section, not an actual replacement panel.

Note the lower edge of the aveska has the lips for original spot weld area.

Looks like Aveska have two types to choose from.

If it were me I would spend the extra and get the $236.00 panel and only have one full length butt weld to do.

That’s what I’m thinking, just wondering how good of a fit they are, I suppose there’s only one way to find out. Cheers

Assume it requires work and you won't be disappointed. Repair panels are never a good fit (especially on cars with poor tolerances to begin with), they are a means of saving some time not having to form all the features from raw sheet metal.

I used their full beaver but had to slightly mod the bottom edge to suit a UC boot floor (should fit LH LX fine). Overall about as good as you'd expect for an aftermarket panel...

Thanks for the responses, I made the plunge and got one this afternoon. Like you are all saying it will need some work I’m sure but at least it’s a good clean piece. Cheers.
