Needed one (1) horn pad screw (allen head) as I'm only missing one (1) so bought a pack. I wish the repro parts suppliers would try and manufacture their replacements parts so that they at least come close to the OEM parts. This is only the 2nd time I have purchased small reproduction parts and both times I have been bitterly disappointed. Any one got one spare they would like to sell me?

They're called cap screws, wizz down to your closest industrial supply shop & see if they possibly have the same style.

Is this for the HK/HT Holden wheel or the HQ style?

Yes they are Cap Screws, but, they have a large diameter head for their thread size and a small Allen size for their head size.

I bought some maybe 15 years ago off rare spares and thought they looked about right, maybe thats changed.

I'm perhaps being too 'picky' but as I only need one (1) and when I screwed the repro in next to the other 'originals' it does look out of place but maybe thats just me being too fussy. The way I see it may as well put the effort in getting these small things correct. I sent the repro pack back for a refund with these same pics so they might lift their game and improve their product. Its not the refund I'm annoyed about, its their lack of attention to detail for something that I would think would be easy to get right in the 1st place. I mean how can you cock something like this up particularly inside the alen head hole, not sure whats going on there.

I would truly appreciate if someone did have a spare. I'm happy to pay for the effort.

Mark, just picky enough I'd say.

Wrong is wrong, simple as that, Rare Spares should have small details like that spot on.

I'd say more like you haven't seen enough rares stuff to notice that 90% of it is not the same as factory, if you are missing everything & don't have a way of getting original parts or you don't care much about it, then rares will be fine, most of it is crap re productions.

To their credit, full refund made (less postage) no questions asked. I think you are spot on Gary, repro stuff does seem to be way off the mark in accuracy from what I have read on all the forums. My 1st repro purchase was the bronze accelerator bush in the accelerator linkage against the firewall. Mine was simply worn out but the one I bought wasn't even close? so had a mate lathe one up for me to exact specs of the old one. These screws were my 2nd purchase. I'd hate to be doing a full resto on a car which needed lots of parts.
