To be honest I always liked the look of the gold Hotwire. I remember back in the early 80s when buying a set of new hotwires for my first car a Gemini panel Van I tossed up for ages in weather to buy the gold or black and ended up with black.

Those are my original era 15x10 and 15x7 s that I will get around to using one day.

There are modern reproduction ones available but to my knowledge they are all fully finished overseas so you would have to buy them, strip and repaint them.

The ones I remember had the centre painted red, as well as the inside of the spokes, but the outer part of the spokes were plain/polished alloy.

Cheers

The hard part is finding original 15 inch stuff. It took me quite some time to find the sets that I’ve got.

Imho just buy new ones it will cost more to buy and refurbish old ones then try to find caps the correct nuts

And you still have a 40 year old wheel

And you can get the correct backspace with new wheels
