Hi All. Overhauling the carby on a LC GTR - Stromberg single barrel BXV-2. What should the base be that bolts to the manifold? Gloss black, Matt black, Bare steel, gold or something else. Cheers John

LC GTR 2600S and 2850S engines were equipped with a WW2 two barrel Stromberg and the standard 6cyl engines were equipped with a BXUV-2 single barrel Stromberg carburetor.

You are correct, the 2850 engine was equipped with a BXV-2 single barrel stromberg.

The 2850S engine in the GTR was equipped with the WW2 two barrel stromberg.
