I came across this pic while trawling through the autopics site.

It was taken at Oran Park in 1979. I have never heard of him, and would like to also know the history of his car.

Would he be the father of David Russell from Matt Stone Racing??

Lucked out. Interesting no SLR window stainless and a rubber strip bumper, maybe not an L34?

No rear bar either. It is 1979, it may have had lots of bits changed. Or it may even simply be an LX built up to L34+A9X homologation.

There is a Bob Russell on FB.
His profile shows lots of his? old race cars...no LH / LX.
Also he is friends with Greg Nolan, of Nolathane back in the day....
Gotta be more than a coincidence?.
Maybe give him a shout?

Not David's father, his name is Geoff. Geoff used to own the LH HDT sports sedan back in the day, my mate who paints my cars painted it for him back in the day
