Hi all ,getting closer to finishing the engine bay ,still have a fair way to go overall though.
Fuel and brake lines,dash wiring,front calipers and other bits and pieces ,all still to be done.Here is a pic.

That's looking good Paul.
If you don't mind me saying so it'd be good to paint the bonnet hinge springs in battleship grey as per original.

Thanks James, I’ll probably end up doing the hinge springs in grey, I’m going to have to find a better set of hinges as they have about 20mm of play in them making the bonnet sit up at the back.

You could get your existing hinges repinned with oversize pins/rivets.

Art department went to town on the little 161 back in the day. You are going to need afro, porn star mo, body shirt and bell bottom hipsters to set it off. Brilliant effort.

You could get your existing hinges repinned with oversize pins/rivets.

Here's the guys that repair the bonnet hinges. I haven't used them myself so I can't comment on the results.
