Fuse Wire on rear of SS temp gauge

Shortly after I had my SS gauge cluster rebuilt, I earthed the temp gauge and blew the fuse wire on the back of the gauge - pretty sure it was temp and not oil pressure... anyhow anybody familiar with this scenario and the size of that fuse wire?

There is no fuse wire. Do you mean the actual nichrome wire wrapped around the bi-metallic strip?

I rebuilt a friends cluster which had a burnt out nichrome wire. Chris VDO helped me out with the he correct gauge wire. It’s a very very fiddly job to re wind.
