Need to sort out the bonnet hinges on my track LJ. Sticks up at the back about 20mm, scrutineers not happy.

Couple of questions please -

1 Why the hell doesn't the rear of the bonnet lower down, when you lower the hinges?

2. The refurb service by Speedex?...ok? price and turnaround?

3. Rares / Resto County ones OK quality?

4. Are LC/LJ same a Kingswood?

Thanks.

Col, try raising the front of the hinges to lower the rear of the bonnet.

S pack hi that is correct, as i stated earlier, its easier to slightly undo the hinge bolts and lift the bonnet as high as possible, u will find that the rear of bonnet will sit lower than the guards, u have to play with it a few times until its level,

I bought a reconditioned set from AA Vinnies in Vic, these have to be the best LC/LJ bonnet hinges I've felt. The alignment is good and they have no slop. Just make sure that you lube them as they will be stiff when you get them.
