Good morning   

   Want to confirm I’m on right track have brought after market loom and all matches up 

brown wire to D+ Then have attached wire from starter positive  to B+ but don’t have alternator 

light on dash what have I done wrong ?

Not sure of brand but it is new and was listed for 6cyl eng 

further update I have power all the way to bulb holder in dash with 12v but when 

bulb put in no glow and yes bulb is ok

So its internally regulated?
What did you do with the sense wire?

Hi, below link may help you simply self test your alternator or wiring harness. Just to i.d. where your issue might be.

Seeing you have an aftermarket loom and nobrand alternator.

If you earth the brown wire with the ignition ON does the bulb light up?
