Hi Members

would anyone be able to help with a late 1977 Lx Slr5000 A9x wiring diagram

have looked at the Lh and Lx diagrams posted on this forum and some things shown are different to my model and the lx diagram is a little bit difficult to read properly

Thank you for any help

AFAIK the only wiring difference or addition for an A9X would be for the addition of the electric radiator fan.

What other differences have you noticed ?

Would be small things like twin switch brake fail switch. Brake fail. Hand brake warning lights on the cluster. Headlight wiring with the relay.

All of those

All of those items are shown here:- http://www.gmh-toran...wiring-diagram/

The only thing missing on that diagram for an A9X would be the thermo fan, relay and radiator temperature switch

Thanks everyone for replying. Main problem i have is in the engine bay there is a pink wire that goes to a connector plug which on the opposite side is a green wire and this feeds into what i've been told is the quadrejet carby idle solenoid.

This pink wire is always live with 12 volts regardless of key being turned off or on and can't seem to find this shown on any wiring diagrams

Other minor problem is park brake warning light is always on

Have tried disconnecting the park brake switch wire + earthing this wire and the same with the brake master cylinder switch which has 2 wires coming off it

I'm pretty hopeless with electrics so any help is much appreciated

If you have 12V at the pink wire you have a major issue at the ignition switch. The wiring for this is shown on the LX diagram on the extreme left & labelled "anti-dieseling solenoid".

Same with the park brake light & brake fail lights, if you have unplugged (or disconnected) the park brake switch & the m/cyl switch, neither light should illuminate. That suggests issues with either the dash cluster wiring, or again the ignition switch.
