Could someone please measure the width of the opening of the nose cone for the grill.
My car now has a reproduction nose cone fitted and the grill sits nicely but the headlight surround opening is too big. The vertical divisions width between the headlight surrounds and grill matches the GMH nose cone but the grill opening is about 6 or 7mm smaller than the original GMH nose cone. But to complicate things more my original nose cone had been damaged in the past and the grill centre never lined up the peak of the nose cone, it needed to shift to the passenger side further but couldn't because due to a previous accident in the cars past the grill and headlight division seems to have been in the wrong spot making my original nose of no real use as a reference.

Thanks
JD

James, GMP&A NOS nose assy, camera angle shows 870mm but measurement is actually 869mm.

Thanks Dave. That seems to match the reproduction nose cone. But my original nose cone opening is about 6mm bigger. The grill actually fits better in the original nose cone now that it's not full of bog.
My problem is that the headlight surrounds stop short and don't cover the step on the vertical divisions.

Can someone give me another measurement of the opening, I'm wondering if there's much variation in these originally.

Thanks Rodney.
The reproduction ones and NOS ones seem to be too small in the grill opening.
