Hi guys. Few pics here of my hatch and progress so far.

Gone about some of it the wrong way around. Impatience while waiting for the painter.

Doing as much as I can by myself...

It’s not original but it’s not completely modified.

There’s some real quirks to the car I’ve discovered along the way as I’ve pulled it apart and reassembled.
It has a lc/lh k frame and upper and lower arms, but uc stub axles, steering arms and steering rack.

The 202 has roller rockers but all else looks stock.

I’ve re-wired the front with relays for lights, ignition etc.

I managed to get a UC k frame for fitting later on (with uc arms) and the plan is for the axis power steer rack to go in it .... with hoppers brake upgrade and a black vk efi 202, delco conversion - m76 5 speed (I’ll drive it like miss daisy).

I’ve been very lucky in the sense this car has very little rust. All panels are painted and am just waiting for the dude to take the body and get that done.

1 year into the rebuild so far.

Keeping this as it was when it was regoed in the hope re rego will go smoother. Same diff, motor and gearbox.

Any comments, feedback. Help. Appreciated.

Thanks to Rodomo and Steve TPF for sending pages of
The M76 manual, I was able to get the M76 semi apart for inspection.

Lucky I did as the 5th gear retaining bolt head was snapped off and was floating around with the washer in the rear housing.

Looks like no real damage done. Extracted the remains of the bolt out after drilling it and using a normally threaded roofing screw. Fortunately remembered it was a lh thread.

Btw. Near to impossible to find one of these bolts, but by the looks of it looks the same as some
Of the borg Warner lh threads diff housing bolts. (7/16 unf lh thread)?

Also put in my recoed booster too....
