Hi is it possible to find out the true identity of an Lx hatch (original engine colour and other details etc) by using only the chassis number..?

I purchased a hatch about 7 years ago and it came without any id tags and have been trying to discover how it was originally

Yes you can to an extent, but not easily. But without the tags it doesn’t really mean anything. And you’ll not find out the colour and trim unless it was an A9X, you’ll have to go by remnant paint.
